Undergraduate degree in Psychobiology from University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC).

Master's degree in Nutritional Science from San Jose State University (SJSU).
Registered Dietitian (RD) since 2000.
Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Certified feeding therapist since 2014.
Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO) certification since 2021.
Developed over 1300 Brainscape Flashcards for other nutrition professionals to use to study for the CSO examination.
20 plus years of experience working full-time as a registered dietitian for a major health care organization.
Personally worked with over 50,000 adults and children with health issues such as:

- Weight loss surgery (bariatrics)
- Diabetes / Gestational diabetes
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Kidney disease
- Food allergies
- Eating disorders
- Picky eaters/problem feeders

Personal - I am:

Mom to a creative teenage son.
Dog mom to two sweet girlies.
An NCAA competitive swimmer.

Learning gardening skills and trying not to kill my plants.

An AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO). Yes, this is a real thing.

On-field MC for the Stockton Ports baseball team in 2018.

Brain Tumor Survivor

In 2019, I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma, which is a tumor that grows on the hearing and balance nerve in the brain. In 2020 (in the middle of the pandemic) I had an 8 1/2 hour surgery to remove the tumor which left me right-sided deaf and with balance challenges. It was a tough road to recovery, but I'm back and better than ever.
